Propaganda
Propaganda The Institute of Propaganda Analysis was founded by Edward Filene in 1937 to educate the American public about the nature of propaganda and how to recognize propaganda techniques. Propagandists use a variety of propaganda techniques to influence opinions and to avoid the truth. There are seven techniques, which include: Name Calling, Glittering Generalities, Transfer, Testimonial, Plain Folks, Card Stacking, and Band Wagon. One of the seven tricks that are used in this poster is glittering generalities because it is a vague, sweeping statement slogan and another one is plain folk because it is using ordinary people or trying to make yourself sound ordinary to persuade. This is a propaganda poster because the women want their men to go to war but they didn't know that it was a terrible experience and can involve death. The message in this poster is directed toward woman because it is their "responsibility for ordering men into war". In the poster...
